Finally manage to buy a Wacom Inkling http://www.wacom.com/en/Products/Inkling.aspx - I've been on the fence regarding this little gadget for months as it seems rather hard to find and the reviews have been rather mixed, and now that I've decided to buy one, I can confirm that it's not really worth it and i should have spent my money on a new digital camera instead. The problem with the inkling is that, it does what it supposed to do, and that's it. It digitises your pen movement, so you have a digital sketch in addition to a normal pen sketch. I was in northern Italy for holiday last week, and the first place I visited was Venice. I was really looking forward to it, and yet to be honest i had to say it was disappointing. Not because it wasn't pretty, or nice, but because it was nothing more than a giant tourist attraction, a Renaissance theme park rather than a Renaissance city. The experience is kind of like meeting your childhood hero and then finding out that he's not what you thought he was. To me, Venice was Titian and Canaletto, Tintorretto and Tiepolo, a Florence on the lagoon, a city with a romantically glorious past. But i always thought it was a city, not a theme park, a

After two years working here they are finally willing to send me overseas for conference/work trips, but it just so happened  that both happened in the same month, so it was pretty hectic for me. Still, I'm not complaining, paid trips are great, even if you don't get much free time to actually enjoy the sights. The first trip was a conference in Boston, which was my first time visiting the USA. Although I didn't see that much of Boston since we only go out mainly at night for dinner, I spent the weekend in New York which was great. I didn't do too many touristic stuff though since I spent a whole day just in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. B
