I was going to call this "Foxy Momma" but I thought that was too obvious and too lame....

Anyway *ehem*..

Like any foxes, this young foxy sheila aspired to become an uber powerful, extra cool nine-tailed fox, with the ability to transform, fly, summon lightning, use the celestial brush, turn her tails into little foxes to do the housework, and even eat as much chocolate as she likes without gaining weight (well, she can take whatever shape she likes so she never needs diets or silicon to look hotter than jalapeno). Oh, and becomes the messenger of Inari, the rice goddess - or defeat Okami Amaterasu and conquer the world; she'll think about it when the time comes.

But, at 100 years per tail (plus an initial 100-year probation period just to assume human form), its a long and extremely tedious process indeed. So after 400 years, she decided she's had enough, and even with just 4 tails she can still kick the arse off most other mythical creatures. She just has to stay away from the tengu and any foxes with more tails, but a mere oni or namahage - huh! piece of cake.

Besides, at 400 years old she's no longer a spring chicken (or a spring fox if that term even exists), so it's time to listen to her long-ignored biological clock and raise some little foxes. Maybe one day, when the wee ones are off to fox school to try and earn their extra tails, she'll continue with her own tail pursuits.



Done in painter 8 and photoshop CS. I had the idea (kind of) ages ago when playing okami. Started drawing this a couple of weeks back, but everytime I almost finished I ended up getting sidetracked (so I ended up finishing those claymore fanarts first).

Everytime I look at it I found something to fix, but now finally I think I've had enough, I'll just post this right now because I reckon I like it enough as it is, otherwise it'll never end because as soon as I change something, I realise it didn't look right, so I'll have to change it again, but then it didn't fit with the other bit, etc, etc,... *head falls off*
