Heya, anyone in Adelaide here thinking of going to AVCON this year? It's still a long while to go, I think it's end of July sometime. But anyway, the promotional poster (drawn by me) will be launched this Friday, and this year's AVCON is going to be held in the Adelaide Festival Centre, so it should be bigger than last year. Anyway, the details will be out soon, so those of you interested can start planning for it, especially the cosplayers.

Anyway, I'll be in the artist's alley this year, so I was wondering if anyone else here is going to join me there too (or simply plan to come along to AVCON). Considering I'll be away pretty much all of April (a holiday! finally!) I probably should start thinking of what I'm going to make for sale at AVCON. This is actually going to be my first time selling stuff at a convention, so I'm not really sure what would sell.

So any suggestions of what I should be making for AVCON? So far, I'm thinking I'd be selling the 'Artist's version' of the promotional poster (i.e. the poster tweaked the way I would have wanted it), a series of 3 pictures (playing on a RGB - fire,forest,ice theme) as well as "digitally remastering" (i.e. repainting) the old chibi neko pics into a series of 4 or 5 pictures. I don't think I'd be doing any bleach or naruto fanart, I mean, those would probably be popular, but considering I'm not a fan of either it just doesn't feel right. Am I being too naive?

Or maybe I should try offering a tutorial service of some sort if things are a bit quiet. Maybe I'll set an hour or so where I'll say as much as I can about everything I know on either drawing or CG. Either way, I'll work it out when its a bit closer to the date. There are still 4 months left, anyway (and that will be my famous last words.....)
